According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Roberto Firmino is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are considering signing the Liverpool veteran in the summer transfer window. And a possible deal might be a free transfer, with the 31-year-old in the final six months of his Liverpool contract.

Roberto Firmino has been a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool juggernaut. The Brazilian forward arrived at Anfield before the German tactician and reprised different roles under Brendan Rodgers. But Klopp has transformed him, turning him into one of the best exponents of the “False Nine” role.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a solid 2022/23 season, amassing nine goals and four assists in 21 outings thus far. But fitness issues have plagued the Liverpool veteran in the last few weeks.
