The Border Ports Commission announced the arrest of three travelers who were in possession of pills and narcotics at the Shalamcheh border crossing.
The Commission stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Monday, that "three travelers (two of them Iraqis and the other a foreign national) were arrested at the Shalamcheh border crossing, by the drug detachment of the customs police and members of the Commission, in possession of narcotic substances (pills and Marijuana paste) in a failed attempt to smuggle it and bring it into the country.”
The statement added that "committees were formed, and records of fundamental control were organized, and the accused were referred to the Shalamcheh Customs Police, to present the matter to the investigation judge to take appropriate legal measures against them."
