Planning Ministry announces re-establishing the Supreme Commission for the General Census

The Ministry of Planning announced on Tuesday, the re-establishing of the Supreme Commission for the General Census of Population and Housing in Iraq.
 
“Planning Ministry announced the re-establishing of the Supreme Commission for the General Census of Population and Housing in Iraq, headed by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim, said Ministry's spokesman ,Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi , in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
He added, "This step came in light of the government program, which stressed the importance of implementing the general census of the population," noting that "the commission will work to create the required conditions and determine the appropriate date for the implementing of the census."
 
He continued, "The Commission for the Census will took into account the role played by the institutions concerned with this great national project," noting that "the establishing of the Commission witnessed the participation of many official sides including  the parliament as an observer, representatives from Kurdistan region, and a number of Experts, advisors and university professors.
