Iraq wins Zayed Sustainability Prize for Gifted Students School

    The Ministry of Education announced on Tuesday, that Iraq ranked first in the world in "Zayed Sustainability Competition 2023", with the participation of 152 international countries and 4,358 sustainable projects.

    Minister of Education, Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Nineveh Gifted School won the first place in the competition of (Zayed Prize for Sustainability 2023) in the regions of the Middle East and North Africa within the category of international secondary schools, which was established in UAE through their project called (The Spirit of Life).

    Al-Jubouri added, addressing the gifted students: "Today we celebrate your achievement in the competition with 152 countries and 4,358 sustainable projects, we will support you to achieve what you aspire to in the future." 
     
    Al-Jubouri extended his thanks and appreciation to the parents of the students who raised the flag of Iraq in international forums, noting that "this victory represents Iraq's ambition to accept the challenge and competition and turn challenges into opportunities." 
    It’s to be mentioned that The Prize’s Awards Ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and the presidents of South Korea, Azerbaijan and Uganda.
