The coach of our national team, Jesus Casas, today, Thursday, praised the level of the team and its victory over its Yemeni counterpart, stressing that the coaching staff and players are happy with the victory and the joy of the Iraqi fans.
Casas said in a press conference after today's match, which was attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Despite the five-year commitment and the happiness of the fans, the match was not easy, especially in the first half," noting that "the team played strongly, and the two goals scored by the Yemeni team were the decision of the Var was correct.".
He added, "The Iraqi team's performance stabilized in the second half, especially after the third goal, which gave the players more confidence and made the task easier for us .
" He expected a difficult match, and he explained, "He was afraid of throwing the main players, as well as the players who had yellow cards, and preferred to park them on the bench in the first half so as not to lose them in the semi-finals in the event of injury or receiving cards."
