First Deputy Speaker of Parliament , Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, affirmed Thursday the Parliament's endeavor to expedite the completing of the provisions of the draft law on the National Security Service , stressing the need for coordination and effective cooperation between all security agencies to eliminate various societal and terrorist crimes.
A statement by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Al-Mandalawi received in his private office the head of the National Security Service, Hamid Al-Shatri."
Al-Mandalawi stressed during the meeting, "The Parliament sought to expedite the completion of the provisions of the National Security Service Law, to proceed with its discussion and vote on it during the beginning of the next legislative term."
Al-Mandalawi stressed "the need for coordination and effective cooperation between all security agencies with regard to combating the drug file and tracking networks for smuggling oil derivatives, organized crime, electronic extortion, and everything that threatens security and societal peace throughout the country."
