The Ministry of Electricity announced on Sunday a state of full and continuous alert in Basra Governorate, in order to make the Gulf Cup 25th a success, which will start on the sixth of this month.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the ministry has entered a state of complete and continuous alert in all sectors of production, transportation and distribution in the southern region and Basra Governorate, in order to make the tournament a success."
Musa added, "The Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, directly supervises the plan prepared for the 25th Gulf Cup, based on the Prime Minister's directives.
Musa continued, "The minister instructed the formation of a ministerial cell to manage the electricity file before and during the tournament, and then install mobile phones, supervise the box stations inside the sports city, fully prepare the lighting in all sports stadiums, and provide full service coverage for all facilities in the sports city."
