Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani called on Wednesday for the formation of an Arab alliance with Iran and Turkey to prevent the project of what he called "partition", noting that stability in Syria is in the interest of the region and prevents the scenarios of chaos and division that the Zionist entity seeks.
Al-Mashhadani said during a speech he delivered at the memorial festival held by the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There must be a real alliance between Iraq, the Islamic Republic, the Republic of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Egypt."
He added that "the aforementioned countries are working against division and it is not in their interest for there to be division in the region and they seek to prevent chaos and support stability in Syria," noting that "the idea of the Arab alliance is to prevent the scenario of division that tears the region apart and achieves the real victory of the Zionist entity."
He added that "the blood that was shed in Lebanon and Iraq is victorious and will not be defeated until the Day of Judgment because martyrdom is the real victory and it is the divine honor for his righteous servants."
He added, "The sacrifices must be invested in Gaza and Lebanon, where there will be an Islamic spring, to invest in this great victory," stressing that "the martyrs are the beacon that lights the way for the coming Islamic spring."
