Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, confirmed on Monday, that the latest international specifications have been taken into account in making Al-Minaa Olympic Stadium.
"All ministries with their staff contributed with helping night and day, in a race against time, as all the supporting parties from the security forces, the local government in Basra and central support from the government represented by PM Muhammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, in order for us to reach the opening of Al-Mina Stadium, an architectural masterpiece,” said Al-Mubarqa in a speech during the opening ceremony of the International Al-Minaa Stadium, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He noted, "The latest international specifications have been observed in the International Al-Minaa Stadium, in terms of durability and meeting the conditions of the International Federation of Football Associations, to be ready during the 25th Gulf Championship."
