Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, announced Sunday that Al-Minaa Stadium is fully ready for the opening, indicating that the reactions of the Gulf side to hold the tournament in Basra is very excellent.
Al-Mubarqa said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "there is a specialized organizational media committee headed by the President of the Federation, Adnan Darjal, regarding the Gulf Cup 25," indicating, "The Al-Minaa stadium has been fully completed and is ready for the official opening tomorrow, Monday."
Al-Mubarqa added, "The reactions of the Gulf side regarding the championship is very excellent, and the members of the inspection committee for the Basra stadiums expressed their satisfaction with what they saw of the readiness."
Regarding security measures, Al-Mubarqa affirmed that "there are no additional forces, because the existing security authorities are smart and deal in a very professional manner."
