GCANS announces its readiness to secure the next flights to Basra International Airport

    The General Company for Air Navigation Service(GCANS) announced on Sunday, its readiness to secure the next flights to Basra International Airport.

    The general manager of the company, Ali Mohsen Hashem, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "with the approaching date of the launch of the Gulf up activities in Basra of Goodness , and based on the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, we announce the completion of our preparations for securing aircraft movement coming to Basra International Airport during the Gulf 25 stay."

    The statement added, "As our staff continue their exceptional efforts to serve the guests of Iraq in order to actively contribute to the success of this important Gulf carnival, which reflects the bright face of our beloved country," stressing "the development of an integrated technical plan to manage the movement of aircraft passing through Iraqi airspace during this period."

    It continued, "We have sent a number of air traffic controllers and communication engineers to help manage air operations at Basra Airport and other necessary preparations."
