Ministerial Council for National Security discussed on Wednesday, the terrorist attacks in Kirkuk and Diyala, as well as securing the borders with Turkey and Iran.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and PM Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, during which recent urgent abd security updates were discussed in the country, said the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "The meeting discussed the two terrorist attacks that targeted innocent people in Kirkuk and Diyala, as the council affirmed the approval of recommendations to maintain security and stability."
"During the meeting, the issue of continuing to secure the borders with Turkey and Iran was discussed, in addition to a number of topics on the agenda and approved appropriate directives and decisions in this regard," he noted.
