Al-Sudani stresses the importance of documenting all the victories achieved by our armed forces

The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, stressed today, Thursday, the importance of documenting the victories achieved by the armed forces of all kinds, while directing to address a number of observations about the ministry's course of action.

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and met upon his arrival with the leaders, commanders and responsible staff in the ministry, led by the Minister of Defense.".

The statement added, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces listened to a briefing on the progress of operations and follow-up on operational and field plans and programs within the scope of the ministry's work and responsibilities.".

He pointed out that "Al-Sudani recalled, in a speech to the advanced leaders and staff, the martyrs of Iraq, especially as we live in the days of the fifth anniversary of the victory over the terrorist ISIS, and the security and stability achieved today depend on the huge sacrifices made by those heroes."

The Commander-in-Chief directed, according to the statement, to address a number of observations about the ministry's course of action, by taking clear measures in this regard, provided that a subsequent meeting will be held to find out what has been accomplished of these measures. 

"The meeting witnessed the presentation of security plans within the government program and paths Implementing it, redeploying military units in cities, and handing over the security file therein to the Ministry of the Interior.”.
