Al-Sudani stresses the need for the Arab League to play its pivotal role in promoting cooperation between countries

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, stressed today, Thursday, the importance of the role of the Arab League in creating opportunities for cooperation between Arab countries.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, received the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the sidelines of his participation in the Arab-Chinese summit that is being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh." .

Al-Sudani pointed out, according to the statement, "the importance of activating work mechanisms and inter-economic integration within the joint development programs of the Arab countries, and for the Arab League to play its pivotal role in enhancing cooperation opportunities between Arab countries.".

For his part, Aboul Gheit stressed "the importance of supporting Iraq in peace and calm efforts in the region, and its keenness to build constructive relations and sustainable partnerships with its Arab surroundings."
