Al-Mandalawi receives the delegation of the Iranian Shura Council

The First Deputy Speaker of the parliament , Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, discussed on Wednesday, with a delegation from the Iranian Shura Council mechanisms for activating the memorandum of understanding between the two parties.

Al-Mandalawi received today, Wednesday, representatives of the Studies Center of the Iranian Shura Council and the Embassy of Iran in Iraq," A statement issued by the Office of the First Vice President, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said.

According to the statement, the two sides discussed mechanisms for activating the temporary memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi parliament and the Iranian Shura Council, and proposed coordination and follow-up mechanisms between the joint parliamentary committees, as well as the offices of advisors and the executive management.

Al-Mandalawi called on the Iranian side to benefit from the provisions of this memorandum as well as the bilateral agreements at various levels between the two countries, and to activate the cooperation in the legislative, supervisory and executive fields.
