Al-Araji ,the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq discuss the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Sweden

National Security Adviser N.S.A Qassim al-Araji stressed on Wednesday,  the importance of preventing terrorists from exploiting prisoners in northeastern Syria.

"N.S.A Qassim Al-Araji received in his office today Wednesday ,the Swedish Ambassador to Baghdad Jessica Svardstrom," The media office of the N.S.A said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

They discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as the security and political developments at the regional and international levels, and the continuation of cooperation and partnership in the field of combating terrorism.

Al-Araji stressed "the importance of preventing terrorists from exploiting prisoners in northeastern Syria as a human resource for them," stressing "the need to control borders and cooperate with neighboring countries to stop drug smuggling."

the Swedish ambassador "reiterated her country's support for Iraq through its role in the advisory mission of the European Union and humanitarian organizations," stressing "support for the sovereignty and stability of Iraq."
