The Iraqi Drilling Company IDC announced on Wednesday the completion of the drilling of a new oil well in the Nassiriya field in Dhi Qar province.
IDC’S general director Bassem Abdul Karim Nasser said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of a new oil well in the Nassiriya / 50 field with a depth of 2121 meters," indicating that "the well is the third completed by the company within the contract concluded with Dhi Qar Oil Company to drill 20 oil wells in the Nassiriya oil field."
He added that "the drilling operations were carried out in a period of time of 49 days using the IDC 44 drilling rig with 1000 horsepower," pointing out that "the company has allocated four modern devices to implement this project."
