Maj. Gen. Rasool: A terrorist killed, 6 others arrested in Nineveh and Baghdad

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, announced Sunday the killing of a terrorist wearing an explosive belt in Nineveh province, while noting the arrest of 6 terrorists in different provinces.
     
     “PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces ordered the CTS units with the support of the heroes of the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior and the Iraqi Air Force and the heroes of the Iraqi army aviation to carry out a duty in the Badoush mountains in Nineveh province," Rasool said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    He added that "the security operation resulted in the killing of one of the terrorists, pointing out, that "the entire tunnels that these terrorists were taking as their safe haven were blown up."

    In the same context, Rasool said, "CTS carried out a series of successful duties in different provinces, which resulted in the arrest of 6 Daesh gangs, one of them in the capital Baghdad, in addition to finding a pile of ammunition in the village of Tal Khirbeh in Nineveh province.”
