Maj. Gen. Rasool details the developments achieved in five security files

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yehia Rasool, confirmed on Friday, that there are directives to the leaders of the police and military teams regarding five different files.
     
    Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, resolutely directed work to prevent the entry of drugs from abroad," noting that "the Iraqi armed forces and security services worked extensively on the issue of holding traffickers, promoters and users accountable."
     
     
    He added, "AL-Kadhimi emphasized the importance of preventing the infiltration of narcotic substances through smugglers, and we achieved qualitative progress in terms of arresting number of of drug traffickers, and confiscating large quantities of those narcotic substances", affirming "the operations are still ongoing under  the direct supervision of PM al-Kadhimi's to pursue these traffickers and promoters."
    Regarding the trespassing, Rasool explained that "The police directorates in Baghdad and the provinces are working with the municipal departments to lift trespassing of public property and prevent transgressors from seizing some places because this affects urban planning in Baghdad and the provinces," noting that "this is the task of the interior agencies, as Police directorates are effective in supporting municipalities, and we continue to remove these trespassing."
     
     
    He also indicated that "Activating the arrest warrants is the responsibility of our police and intelligence services, and there is careful follow-up in the implementation of arrest warrants," explaining that "the security services of all kinds implement the arrest warrants accurately, whether in cases of terrorism, murder or drugs."
     
    Regarding the protection of the power transmission towers, Rasool said that "The power transmission towers have been protected for a long time from all sectors and security services," explaining that "the Commander-in-Chief emphasized their protection from terrorist acts, and we are following up on that."
     
    Rasool also stated that “The security personnel perform their national duty by implementing military and judicial orders,” noting that “our mission as military leaders is to protect our affiliates from any attack against them, such as a clan assault or any attempt to undermine the resolve of our forces while performing their duties,” noting that “the judiciary stresses support for Law enforcement agencies.
