Rasool : 2 Daesh terrorists killed, a den in Hamrin Mountains destroyed

    INA-  BAGHDAD 

     The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, announced Thursday the killing of two ISIS terrorists and the destruction of a den in Hamrin Mountains.

    Rasool said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, that "under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Counter-Terrorism Service, and in a joint operation with the heroes of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and the heroes of the Iraqi Air Force, managed to kill two members of Daesh gangs in Hamrin Mountains."

     He added that "the special operations forces carried out a successful airdrop, in which the heroes were able to storm a terrorist den and completely destroy it," noting that "intermittent remains of Daesh gang members were found following the direct strike carried out by the Iraqi Air Force planes."

     He continued, "The forces of the Counter-Terrorism Service are continuing to carry out their professional duties alongside the courageous security services."
