International coordination to create job opportunities for youth in Iraq

    Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs revealed on Wednesday, upon an international coordination to create job opportunities for young people in Iraq, while determining the mechanism for applying to international training centers.
     
    “A proposal was submitted to the German ambassador in Baghdad, Martin Biger to exchange experiences between the two countries and to sign a memorandum of understanding or agreement between the Iraqi and German ministries of labor for the purpose of establishing German training centers in Iraq,” said the Undersecretary of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Salar Abdul Sattar, to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
     
    He highlighted that, "the centers aim to teach young people industrial techniques, technology and smart phones, in order to find opportunities for Iraqi youth."
     
    “Iraq has training centers for South Korea in Baghdad, Basra and the Kurdistan region, to teach Iraqi youth on industrial and technological techniques in order to find job opportunities,” he explained.
     
    He noted that "there is a mechanism to register for these centers via the Directorate of Training Center in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as there are conditions and specifications according to the required competencies."
