Putin: We will do everything to end war

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed, during his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today, Friday, that he hopes to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.

During his meeting with the Indian Prime Minister on the sidelines of a regional summit held in Uzbekistan, Putin stressed that he "knows India's position and its concerns over the conflict in Ukraine," stressing that "Russia will do everything in its power to end the conflict as soon as possible.".

Putin expressed his regret "for the refusal of the leadership of Ukraine to negotiate and its desire to achieve its goals by military means on the battlefield," he said.
