Oil Minister directs providing fuel as the Arbaeen pilgrimage reaches its climax

    INA-  BAGHDAD 

    Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, directed Friday to mobilize all the ministry's capabilities to provide services, provide fuel and transport visitors.

     A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail instructed the oil companies in all governorates, especially the center and the south, to harness all their capabilities in order to meet the needs of pilgrims to provide fuel for service processions or fuel for transport vehicles, as well as harnessing hundreds of vehicles of all kinds for oil companies to transport pilgrims to and from the holy governorate of Karbala.

    The statement added, "The ministry, through the commanding operations room, took measures earlier last month to provide large stocks of fuels, and directed oil companies to continue to participate in providing support to the service and municipal departments in the holy governorate."

    It also added that "the oil companies in the center, south and north have contributed to providing social, humanitarian and health services, and transporting visitors to and from the holy Karbala."
