The Chief of the General Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces, General, Abdel Emir Rashid Yarallah, discussed with the Commander of The NATO mission in Iraq (NMI) , General Giovanni M. lannucci, on Monday, the development of the capabilities of the Iraqi army.
“Yarallah met NMI Commander , General Giovanni M. lannucci, and a number of the NMI advisors, and from the Iraqi side, the assistant chief of staff for training, the director of military training, the secretary of the navy, the army chief of staff, and the director of the department,” The media office of the Chief of the General Staff stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The meeting discussed frameworks for cooperation, coordination, and expansion of partnership at the level of training and providing expertise in all aspects of the military institution, in order to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army," The statement added.
