3.2 magnitude earthquake rattles Halabja, KRG

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    A 3.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded on Saturday, in Halabja district, Sulaymaniyah Governorate according to the Ministry of Transportation reports.

    The seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake today in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate, included a statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The earthquake was recorded at exactly 09:33:05 pm today, local time with 3.2, located 16 km northwest of Halabja from the Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

     The statement highlighted that "it has not been proven that citizens in the area felt it, calling on citizens to take precautions, stay away from rumors and false news, as to abide by the seismic recommendations issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring."
