The Popular Mobilization forces (PMF) announced on Monday, the launch of a security operation in southern Nineveh province.
"A force from the army and the Nineveh Operations Command of the PMF has launched on a security operation to inspect villages and hills south of Nineveh province," PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The operation aims to dry up the sources of terrorism, bridge the tunnels, and search for those wanted by the court, the statement added.”
"Nineveh province witnessed, from yesterday, Sunday, security operations that resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of ISIS terrorist remnants in a tight ambush near Al-Aqrab's checkpoint in the city of Mosul,” the statement explained.
