Najaf: Efforts to add an air ambulance service

     Najaf Governorate announced Sunday the opening of a specialized hospital in gastrointestinal and liver surgery in the governorate, while indicating that it is seeking to add an air ambulance service.
     
    The Governor of Najaf, Majid Al-Waeli, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The specialized hospital for diseases and gastrointestinal and liver surgery was opened in the presence of the Director General of the Health Department Ahmed Al-Asadi," praising "the great efforts made to achieve this achievement."
     
    He added, "The health sector receives the attention of the administration of the province of Najaf, and there is continuous follow-up with the director general of the department," noting that "the specialized hospital for diseases and and gastrointestinal and liver surgery was implemented on an area of 1,200 square meters, and it consists of six floors and a capacity of 60 beds, and it also contains 10 resuscitation beds and 4 Operation Rooms.
     
    He stressed, "The Najaf Governorate seeks to add an air ambulance service by equipping the governorate's health department with an (ambulance) helicopter."
