It is reported that chloroquine, an anti-malarial drug, was recently discovered to be effective in treating colorectal cancer, but it has not been proven effective in treating “Covid-19”, according to Russia Today.

“We created a new system for treating rectal cancer using the drug chloroquine, which is currently used in the treatment of malaria,” says Alina Nicotina, a researcher in the Laboratory of Cell Protection Mechanisms at the Institute of Cytology. “But it turned out not so long ago that this drug has antitumor properties. We also used the CL-43 compound in the treatment, which increased the effectiveness of chloroquine, and the results of its use in the treatment of rectal cancer cells showed its good effectiveness.
