The Ministry of Migration and Displacement (MoMD) clarified on Saturday, its procedures about the security safety of families returning from Al-Hol camp.

MoMD spokesman, Abbas Jahangiz, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA)," Families in al-Hol camp are subjected to security checks before they are transferred to their places of residence and in case of finding any security indicator they will be arrested," noting that "The rumors circulated about the transfer of families, which poses a threat to state security are exaggerated."

Most of the families that are transferred are women and elderly men after they are checked, supervised and follow-up by the security services in the camp and even after they leave, coordination with the areas of their return and follow-up is carried out by the security authorities in those areas, pointing out that “any problem or obstacle will be treated before they are returned to their areas of residence," he added.

Jahangiz also affirmed," there are number of families who were transferred to their areas after they underwent psychological rehabilitation for three to four months," stressing that "no security problem taken by these families in violation of the law or suspicions that they are abusive members in society have been recorded."
