Digital Media Center - DMC denounced on Saturday, the ongoing fake "paid" hashtags on the Twitter platform by followers of well-known parties despite the calls for calm that were launched, while calling on political parties to stop inciting their followers on the Twitter platform.
"There are several fake hashtags launched by electronic armies at cheap prices, amid the silence of Twitter platform on this case, which violates the approved posting standards," noted DMC in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included that "these extremist parties aim, with their accusations and incitement, to destroy the country and fuel the conflict in it as well as, causing it to fall into a strife that will shed precious and dear blood from youth, who suffered a lot for decades."
"There is a need for the competent government agencies to move to address this problem, because of the negative and catastrophic effects on civil peace in Iraq," according to the statement.
