Al-Kadhimi directs the security forces to protect the demonstrators and maintain order

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, directed the security forces to protect the demonstrators, calling on the demonstrators to adhere to peacefulness demonstration, not to escalate the situation, and to abide by the orders of the security forces, whose goal is to protect them and official institutions.
 
Al-Kadhimi confirmed, according to a statement by his media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “continuing the political escalation increases the tension and does not serve the public interests,” stressing that “the security forces have a duty to protect official institutions and emphasized the need to take all legal measures to maintain order.
