Leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, proposed on Wednesday, the 4 escalatory steps against Turkey the backdrop of the artillery shelling that targeted the resort of Barkh village in Dohuk, killing 9 people and wounding 23 others.
Muqtada al-Sadr suggests reducing diplomatic ties with Turkey, closure of air and land crossings, filing an official complaint to the United Nations, and annulling all security agreements with the country in response to the Zakho bombardment.
Sayyed Al-Sadr suggested “cancelling the security agreement with Turkey unless it pledges not to bomb Iraqi lands until after informing the government and seeking help from it if there are threats near its borders.”
