Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah said Sunday that remnants of terrorism have become weak and unable to cope with military forces.
"The army chief of staff has arrived at Salah al-Din Operations Command to oversee the latest proactive operations to hunt down the remnants of terrorists and inspect the province's operational area," said a reporter for the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Yarallah met with the military leadership in salah al-Din operations command," he said.
"We continue to put pressure on the remaining remnants of isis," he said.
Yarallah praised "the level of security achievements achieved in Salah al-Din," stressing that "the security forces must continue to carry out the operations on the remaining dens hidden in the areas of mountain ranges and valleys."
