Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Rashid Yaralla stressed Tuesday the continuation of offensive operations against the hideouts of terrorist gangs in Diyala.
A reporter for the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yaralla, arrived today in Diyala Governorate," noting that "Yaralla visited the Diyala operations sector and met with military leaders and intelligence services."
Yaralla stressed "to continue the offensive operations against the remaining hideouts of the terrorist gangs of Daesh and not to give any opportunity to the terrorist groups to carry out any criminal operation targeting the security and stability of the citizens in Diyala Governorate," calling for "the military units to highly coordinate with the Salah al-Din and Kirkuk operations command to stop any Infiltration operations of terrorists across the overlapping administrative borders between these governorates."
