Japanese police found explosive materials in the home of the arrested gunman who shot and killed former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Police officials stated, "Dangerous explosive materials were found in the house of the man who shot the former prime minister, and the police requested the evacuation of the building, while the necessary measures were taken in the event that these materials exploded."
The officials added, "During the search and investigation, other objects were found in the gunman's home, similar to those found at the scene of the incident, which could be homemade weapons.".
According to the sources, "During his attack on the former prime minister, the gunman used a homemade firearm, about 40 cm long and about 20 cm high.
In turn, the Japanese media explained that "Yamagami served in the country's Maritime Self-Defense Forces for three years, and he was not satisfied with former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, so he wanted to kill him."
