United Nation Development Program launched Wednesday the Catalytic Climate Action Project in Iraq.
The Reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that “UNDP in partnership with Canada and the United Kingdom, in the presence of the Minister of Environment, launched the Catalytic Climate Action Project in Iraq."
The representative of the program, Zina Ali Ahmed, confirmed in a speech during the launch of the project, that "the project will support national efforts to adapt to and alleviate climate change and help the Iraqi government fulfill its obligations towards the Paris Agreement," noting that "the project duration is two years."
She added that "the main focus of the project will be drought preparedness, water resource management and renewable energy, the three areas that put Iraq at great environmental risk."
