Military Industrialization Factory announced Wednesday the entry into service of the D30 artillery, which is the first of its kind in the world.
The director of the Ibn al-Haytham factory affiliated with the Military Industrialization Authority, Hani Abdullah, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the (D30) artillery entered service after making some modifications to it," noting that it "has become portable on wheels which is the first in the world ."
He explained, "The 155mm artillery has entered maintenance work at the Al-Shuhada Artillery Factory, which is affiliated with the General Company for Copper and Mechanical Industries, which is one of the largest factories in the Middle East."
