Baghdad-INA
The Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, confirmed today, Sunday, that dialogues are in place with neighboring countries to ensure Iraq's water quotas.
Al-Hamdani told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Dialogues are ongoing with neighboring countries, and the special envoy of the Turkish president is supposed to visit Iraq, but so far the date of the visit has not been set."
He expressed his hope that "the visit will be close to discussing the water crisis that is taking place in the whole region, and discussing fair and equitable water quotas for Iraq," noting that "a tripartite meeting including Iraq, Iran and Turkey will be held in Baghdad."
