The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, confirmed today, Monday, that Iraq is looking forward to establishing economic and commercial relations with the international community.
A statement by the Office of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Baghdad, Pedro Martinez," noting that "Al-Ghazi welcomed Spanish companies to work in Iraq."
Al-Ghazi stressed, that "Iraq is looking forward to establishing economic and commercial relations with the international community, as the next phase will witness the implementation of many ministerial and investment projects in various sectors in Iraq."
For his part, Martinez expressed "the Spanish government's tendency to support Iraq in all fields, especially in the climate change file that most countries of the world are witnessing," noting that "Spain is exposed to water scarcity, and the need for joint action and the exchange of experiences in this vital file."
