Interior Minister confirms the installation of smart cameras in all regions

The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, confirmed on Saturday,  his intention to install smart cameras in all regions of the country, while indicating that a number of measures have been taken to develop traffic systems in Iraq.
 
A statement by the Ministry of Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the Ministry of Interior held a central celebration on the occasion of Traffic Week in the presence of Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari, and with the participation of a number of leaders and officers.”
 
The Minister of the Interior gave a speech on the occasion, in which he stressed “traffic support,” noting that “the Ministry of Interior has taken many measures to develop traffic systems with the aim of reaching an integrated traffic system that is comparable to international systems.”
 
In another axis, he stressed, "the necessity of strict accountability for any officer or member against whom any case of blackmail is proven, and that we must establish a strong relationship based on mutual respect between the traffic policeman and the citizen.”
