Al-Kadhimi : We will closely follow implementing national strategy for early childhood development

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed Thursday, that international indicators and reports indicate the rapid growth of the Iraqi economy, while stressing the need to accurately implement the national strategy for early childhood development.

     Al-Kadhimi said in a speech while attending the ceremony of the launch of the National Strategy for Early Childhood Development in Iraq (2022-2031), and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "It gives me great pleasure to be among you in launching the National Strategy for Early Childhood Development in Iraq (2022-2031), noting that "the reality of childhood in Iraq is a difficult reality, as a result of the circumstances we have been through for decades, as the accumulations, legacies and political, economic and social problems are reflected in one way or another on this important age group of our society."

    He added, "This segment deserves all our care and attention, and the development of mechanisms, plans and programs, so that we can later invest its energies in serving Iraq and its institutions, in the public and private sectors."

    He stressed that "this government came in difficult and complicated circumstances with specific tasks, and it performed them, which is the establishment of fair elections, and with this, we took the initiative in order to create better economic and security conditions."

    He stated that "the specialized team in the Prime Minister's Office formulated the necessary plans that would create the appropriate conditions, support and enhance the comprehensive development of childhood from birth to the age of eight," noting that "these children are the future of the country, and the basis for its progress and construction.”

    He indicated that "cooperation is required between the state and its institutions, international organizations and the international community. “

    He also added “We belong to Iraq, and Iraq first and foremost;  accordingly, we must work for the future of our children, to achieve a future vision, and to serve the future through the interaction between science and technology in the upbringing of this generation;  In order to turn into leaders.”

    Al-Kadhimi emphasized that “the first and last directive is to preserve Iraq, and to preserve Iraq by preserving its people and their future,” calling on everyone to “the necessity of scrupulous adherence to this distinctive plan, which is a precedent in our dear Iraq, It is late, but the work took more than a year, and today, by declaring its strategic importance, we stress the need for good implementation and commitment to it.”
