CBI and BoE governors discuss monetary policy in response to economic challenges

The governors of the Central Bank of Iraq  and his English counterpart discussed on Wednesday monetary policy in the face of economic challenges.
 
"Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb met with the Governor of the Bank of England during his visit to London to participate in the Conference on the Sustainability of Economic Growth held by the Iraqi-British Business Council," the central bank said in a statement received by the News Agency of Iraq.
 
"Both sides stressed the importance of central banks and monetary policy in meeting economic challenges, ensuring macroeconomic stability and supporting economic growth," he said.
 
The Governor of the Bank of England welcomed the training of Central Bank of Iraq staff in various fields, stressing "the importance of developing banking relations between the two countries."
