The media coordinator of the Kickboxing Federation, Ahmed Rahim Nema, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Open Kickboxing World Cup kicked off today in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, with wide participation. Iraq was represented in the tournament by three Iraqi clubs: Gas Al-Janoub, Al-Hudood, and Dohuk.".
He added, "The draw pitted the Asian and world champion, Hussein Sami, with a player from the Zionist entity, which made the delegation management decide that our player would not participate in the fight and withdraw from it."
