Iraqi warplanes killed six terrorists in Kirkuk province on Thursday, according to a statement released by the Joint Operations Command. Among them was a leader of ISIS.
"Three strikes by F-16 aircraft on Thursday resulted in the killing of a terrorist detachment consisting of six terrorists, including the terrorist (Omar Salah Nehmeh), aka (Abu Khattab), one of the most dangerous leaders of Daesh and Othman Abu Abed, as well as the terrorist Izz al-Din Hisham," according to a statement from the command obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). The statement was made in response to orders from the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and with outstanding and accurate intelligence work by the heroes of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service.
"A raid and search of the targeted place by the Iraqi National Intelligence Service in conjunction with the units of the Counter-Terrorism Service was carried out following the operation, wherein the bodies of the terrorists and numerous explosive belts, weapons, technical equipment, and various phones that were used by them were found," the statement continued.
