Rasool: 5 of Daesh killed in an air strike, Kirkuk

    Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, announced on Wednesday, that 5 of Daesh terrorist gangs were killed in Kirkuk, including two leaders, in an air strike in Dibs district, Kirkuk.
     
    "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, a special force from the Counter-Terrorism Service – CTS, with air support from the Iraqi Air Force, has begun to carry out the duty on a shelter for terrorists, in which 5 members of Daesh gangs were located in Dibs district, Kirkuk,” said Rasool in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    He added, "The reconnaissance planes of our air forces and the international coalition monitored the movement of terrorist groups, for which accurate information was collected by the intelligence of the CTS,"
     
    At 05:30 in the morning, and by and order of the Joint Operations Command, the air hawks fired their blessed strikes towards the two caves, which were two caves in which the enemy hid, to destroy them completely and kill all those who were in it, according to Rasool’s statement.
     
    Rasool explained, saying "CTS began searching the two caves, and the bodies of the terrorists were found as they were completely smashed," noting that "CTS and the Iraqi security services continue their ongoing effort to find the remnants of Daesh, as that the promise that CTS makes to itself and to the people of Iraq is to pursue these terrorist elements even outside the country's borders,”
