Security Media Cell announced Sunday the killing of two suicide bombers north of Lake Tharthar.
The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "To complete the pre-emptive operation carried out north of Lake Tharthar near the Sukaryat Bridge, which resulted in the killing of 3 members of ISIS terrorist gangs with air strikes by Szna Caravan aircraft, a force from the Al-Jazeera Operations Command began to head to the targeted place, and clashed with two ISIS terrorist gangs wearing two explosive belts, and managed to kill them, bringing the number of terrorists killed to five."
SMC she added, "The force found a very large tunnel containing a large number of explosive devices, as well as a house used by ISIS terrorist gangs to hide the explosive devices," noting that "the security forces also found a Kia vehicle , it contained a number of explosive devices prepared for detonation, and detonating wires and various weapons."
