Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, arrived Saturday, in Najaf Governorate to supervise the water quotas allocated to the agricultural plan there.
"The Governor of Najaf, Majid Al-Waeli, received Al-Hamdani and discussed with him the water quotas for the agricultural plan in the province, and determining the proportion of the governorate from the water quota for the agricultural plan in light of the water scarcity that the country suffers from," said the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
He added that "Al-Hamdani's visit also aims to follow up on the irrigation projects implemented by the ministry in Najaf, including the stone cladding project for the Shatt al-Kufa Corniche (Euphrates) and the implementation stages of the Hor Bin Najm station, which aims to revive the marsh and prevent drought in it, as well as see the project (Kifl). - Shanafiya) for land reclamation in the Abbasia and Hurriya sub-districts.
