Minister of Electricity Adel Karim went to the Iranian capital, Tehran, for an official visit to discuss issues of gas emissions.
The media of the Ministry of Electricity said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "the Minister of Electricity Adel Karim, heading a large ministerial delegation, heading to Tehran, to meet with the Iranian Ministers of Energy and Oil," noting that "the minister will hold several meetings with the Iranian side to discuss the issue of gas releases, payment of dues, and the need to abide by the terms of contracts and agreements signed between the two sides.
"The minister conducts tours and visits to all stations and transmission lines in all governorates of Iraq, and directly supervises a regular meetings to treat, support and rehabilitate the distribution sector in order that all these efforts and preparations result in an increase in the hours of electricity supply for citizens."
