The size of Russia international reserves before and after the Western sanctions

    The Russian Central Bank revealed on Monday, the structure of its international reserves, consisting of foreign currencies and gold, and according to the data, the value of the reserves on April 1, this year amounted to about $606 billion.
     
    The Russian Central stated that the volume of the country’s foreign reserves amounted to $606.409 billion at the beginning of this month, compared to $617.133 billion recorded on March 1st.
     
    The data also showed that the share of the precious metal reached 21.5% at the beginning of this year, 2022.
     
    Regarding foreign currencies owned by the Russian Central, the data indicated that the share of the Chinese Yuan currency reserves amounted to 17.1% at the beginning of 2022, while the Euro amounted for 33.9%, while the share of dollar reserves reached 10.9%, and the share of sterling reserves amounted to 6.2%.
