Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi sent condolences on Sunday to the Iraqi people and the Islamic world on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar (peace be upon him).
Al-Halbousi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We offer our condolences to the Arab and Islamic nations and the sons of our Iraqi people on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him, recalling the values of forbearance and patience over hardships and steadfastness on the principle pursued by the family of the Messenger of God and his pure companions."
The Speaker of Parliament praised "the role of the security forces of all kinds in providing protection for pilgrims coming from the governorates and the capital, Baghdad, and the supporting service and medical bodies that contribute to providing their services to the masses of pilgrims ."
